Had an enlightening time at the recent annual Private Company Governance Summit in Arlington, VA. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet talented and accomplished individuals serving on the Boards of private and family-owned companies. I met the President & CEO, of the Private Directors Association®, of which I am a member, Debra McGuire, FASAE, MBA, IOM, CAE, (second from left), and many other PDA members and supporters, including (from left), Subash Anbu, NACD.DC; Venita Fields; Cindy Burrell, and to my left, Vesla Hoeschen. Learning from these industry experts and numerous others was invaluable. As a Board Director, continuous learning is key to ensuring value for company shareholders in today’s dynamic business environment.
